Painter
Gail Fox
I have always painted. From childhood, painting was my play. I grew up in as row house in West Oak Lane where nature showed itself best in vacant lots and in the cracks between the sidewalk blocks. Every plant I discovered I dissected and reassembled in paint. Birds were small wonders.
I feel connected now, in my current work, to my earliest endeavors. It is still a kind of ecstasy when I see sunlight on a field, sunflowers in my neighbor's yard, or the flash of crows in flight.
